Maddie's 1-Year Check-up (Posted a month and a day late)

I'm a little belated in posting about Maddie's 1-Year check-up. I can't believe our little girl turned 13 months two days ago. Where does the time go? At her appointment, Maddie weighed in at 24 pounds which put her in the 85% tile. Her thighs alone have to account for a good chunk of that weight. She measured 29 3/4 inches long, in the 70% tile. We had thought she was on the shorter side but apparently not! The doctor said she is looking great, not at all like a preemie. Her motor skills are excellent. She's been talking a lot, babbling, saying mumma, dada, baba, baby, hi, bye. She's crawling everywhere and pulls herself to a standing position at anything. She still isn't doing any cruising and cries when you try and make her walk. While I can't wait to see her toddling around, for a little bit longer it's okay to not have to chase after her!
